Steven Roberto is Upperline's consulting wine director. Although a winemaker by training, Steven enjoys the pleasure of tracking down evocative wines in step with the cuisine of his restaurant clients.

"Helping the consumer discover and appreciate some of the world's most fascinating wines is my greatest pleasure," Steven says.

An unabashed proponent of New Orleans cuisine, Steven takes great care to consider the interaction of wine and food. "One of the joys of working with Upperline is their whimsical touch with the classic Creole cuisine of New Orleans. While they stay true to the basics, they are not afraid to experiment. This encourages me to go the extra distance in acquiring interesting and valued selections, while still retaining classical choices with depth and breadth."
